Official story  •  Jacksonville, Florida
BLB Fujin, Jacksonville recording artist and founder of Bag Leaf Boys Inc.
FUJIN

Artist. Founder.
Creative director.

The artist built the machine.

Built by an artist.
Structured by an owner.

Derrick Phelps Jr., professionally known as BLB Fujin, is a Jacksonville recording artist, entrepreneur, creative director, and founder of Bag Leaf Boys Inc.

His career lives where music, filmmaking, media, business development, and ownership meet. He is not an artist waiting for somebody else to build the machine around him—he is building the machine himself.

“Fame is the ambition. Music is the lifetime commitment. Ownership is the foundation.”

Foundation  •  Jacksonville to ownership

Before the company,
there was a movement.

Jacksonville gave Fujin his voice. Military service strengthened the discipline behind it. Together, they taught him that talent can open a door—but structure is what keeps it open.

2021
The movement begins

Bag Leaf Nation

BLB began as a shared identity among friends Fujin considered family. Behind the public image, he supplied the vision, organization, investment, and forward motion—pushing the energy away from temporary recognition and toward legal money, repaired credit, legitimate business, and ownership.

2024
The founder steps forward

The face meets the work

After allowing BLB to establish an identity of its own, Fujin publicly connected his name and face to the company he had built. The artist, creative director, and owner were no longer separate stories—they were revealed as one person.

One founder. One company. One house.

Creative direction  •  The work opened the room

The camera opened the room.
The artist walked through it.

Every shoot presented a different problem. Fujin learned to listen, move under pressure, edit with purpose, and turn the access earned behind the lens into opportunity for the artist and the company.

Live pressure

No second take

Concert rooms taught Fujin how to capture moments that cannot be staged twice. From Jacksonville clubs to live environments featuring artists such as Rick Ross and Rylo Rodriguez, he developed an equilibrium between documenting the moment and directing the story around it.

From access to connection

The Rylo room

Filming Rylo Rodriguez gave Fujin rare stage access and room to network. Those relationships moved BLB’s music forward and became part of the road leading to “Christian Lou 3.5” featuring Rylo Rodriguez.

From lens to microphone

Closing for Young M.A.

Fujin leveraged his visual work to secure the opportunity to close a Young M.A. show. Terrence Tyson photographed him filming the headliner—and Fujin later performed on that same stage. The camera did not replace the music; it created another way into the building.

Music & BLBMG  •  The catalog has a home

The music built the name.
Ownership built the future.

Fujin never stopped at making records. Every release became another lesson in sound, sequencing, rollout, publishing, and why an independent artist needs a real company behind the catalog.

The sound takes shape

Built through collaboration

KealzOnTheKeyz became a foundational producer in Fujin’s catalog and later his manager. Engineer Paul Lapinski brought technical precision that deepened Fujin’s understanding of melody, production, engineering, and how a complete record is constructed.

The music travels

Beyond Jacksonville

In June 2023, Lyrical Lemonade published an editorial feature on “No Reason,” recognizing the vulnerability in Fujin’s storytelling. “Burning Bush” later reached No. 2 on Luxembourg’s Spotify Daily chart as tracked by Kworb, holding that position across both days it charted.

April 25, 2025

The first album

Mud and Trenches gathered songs created across several years into Fujin’s first full-length statement. The album explored trapping, survival, ambition, pain, and the meaning of becoming a Bag Leaf Boy—but its greatest lesson was learning how to finish.

The independent house

BLBMG plus me

BLBMG houses the music operation: artist development, songwriting, publishing, creative direction, releases, and the infrastructure surrounding the work. Fujin remains open to the right partnership, but never at the cost of surrendering the foundation he built.

Mud and Trenches was my proof that I could finish. It showed people who I was—and showed me what I could complete.

Create the record. Own the catalog. Build the house.

Concrete Echo TV  •  Jacksonville needs a mouthpiece

Built from the concrete.
Made to echo.

Fujin created an independent platform where Jacksonville artists and creators could pop their shit, show their personalities, and receive a visual presentation built by someone who understands what it means to be on both sides of the camera.

The necessary rebuild

Beyond Behind The Bars

Behind The Bars was a strong beginning, but another platform already held greater attention under the name. Fujin refused to build permanently in somebody else’s shadow. He rebuilt the concept as Concrete Echo TV: an original identity with room to become one central media hub.

The proof of concept

“Fish & Grits”

The Fat Da CEO pilot turned an early mic check near Jacksonville’s Riverside and Lackawanna area into proof that consistent content could genuinely strengthen an artist’s presence. Even a passing horn and words of encouragement became part of the city responding in real time.

The platform grows

Opening new doors

Working with recognized Jacksonville talent such as Baby K Osama marked another level for Concrete Echo TV. The mission reaches beyond rappers because music is not the only form of art. The platform is being built for every creator with something real to say or show.

The Concrete Echo standard

Artist-minded. Brand-protected.

Fujin knows how artists want to be heard, presented, credited, and respected because he is one. That respect moves both ways: Concrete Echo footage keeps its branding, and the logo stays visible. The work can amplify the artist without erasing the company that created it.

Concrete Echo TV gives Jacksonville’s creators a real mouthpiece. Five years from now, I want it to be part of the city’s foundation.

Hear the artist. Build the vision. Keep the logo on it.

One Company, One House  •  The complete BLB ecosystem

Different rooms.
One house.

Bag Leaf Boys Inc. is not a collection of disconnected brands. It is one independent creative universe where music, media, services, clothing, products, and infrastructure strengthen each other under the same roof.

The front door

One central hub

The Bag Leaf Boys website is the entrance. Artists, creators, clients, models, customers, and partners should immediately understand that they have stepped into a complete house—one built to offer a product, service, platform, or connection that can help them move forward.

The connected rooms

Every division feeds the next

BLBMG houses the music. Concrete Echo TV gives creators a mouthpiece. Creative Services brings the vision to life. Banana Kloud carries the culture through clothing and merchandise. Products and subscriptions add the tools and infrastructure creators need to stay organized and build correctly.

The wider network

If BLB cannot do it, BLB can find it

The goal is complete artist support—from visuals, branding, media, and development to touring resources, security, A&R connections, and professional direction. When a job belongs with another specialist, the BLB network should know exactly who can handle it.

Five-year vision 2031

Whatever we have right now will be fully built—each bucket full and not needing any more water.

Fully operational Properly staffed Profitable Built to last
Derrick Phelps Jr. / BLB Fujin If I can’t make it, I’ll build it. BLBMG plus me.
