Quavo used one of professional wrestling’s biggest stages to introduce his next musical release.
Date: September 8, 2026
The Atlanta rapper opened WWE’s Sunday Night’s Main Event at State Farm Arena by performing his unreleased song “Backwards.”
The performance lasted approximately one minute and took place before the broadcast’s first match.
“Backwards” is connected to Quavo’s upcoming project, “QRÖMELIFE,” and is scheduled for release Friday, September 11.
Quavo was also seen at the event alongside T.I., Tyler, the Creator and Lil Yachty. Yachty participated in the show’s wrestling storyline later that evening.
The performance may represent something larger for WWE. Fightful reported that the company is testing musical performances during major events, with a longer-term concept being compared to halftime entertainment at traditional sporting events.
