MUSIC HISTORY — LIL WAYNE’S LOST LYRICS LISTED FOR $5 MILLION

A collection of handwritten lyrics from Lil Wayne’s early career has been placed on the market with a $5 million asking price.

Date: September 7, 2026

The pages reportedly contain lyrics from “I Feel” and “We On Fire,” songs appearing on the Hot Boys’ 1999 album “Guerilla Warfare.”

According to the owner’s account, the documents were recovered from discarded items at a New Orleans car dealership after Cash Money Records co-founder Bryan “Birdman” Williams and his entourage traded in several vehicles.

The papers were preserved for nearly three decades before being offered through memorabilia dealer Moments in Time.

Lil Wayne’s attorney previously attempted to stop the sale, arguing that the material had been misplaced and still belonged to the rapper.

A Louisiana court entered a judgment in 2024 recognizing the seller’s ownership after Wayne’s side declined to continue the legal challenge.

The seller originally sought $250,000 in 2019. The current $5 million figure is an asking price and should not be presented as a completed transaction or independent appraisal.
