Representative Jasmine Crockett joined Brown onstage at AT&T Stadium to present the recognition celebrating his career and contributions to music.
Producer RoccStar said he helped connect Brown with congressional officials. Texas state Representative Venton Jones was also reportedly involved in arranging the moment.
The presentation represented recognition from the participating public officials and should not be described as an award approved by the entire United States Congress.
