Legendary British actor Tim Curry has died at age 80 following a career that stretched across film, theater, television, animation and video games.

Curry died at his Los Angeles home after experiencing serious health problems for more than a decade. Authorities said no foul play was suspected.
He achieved international fame through his fearless performance as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Curry later delivered memorable performances in Clue, Annie, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Muppet Treasure Island and Stephen King’s It, where his portrayal of Pennywise frightened an entire generation.
His unmistakable voice also appeared in numerous animated productions and video games. Curry earned three Tony Award nominations for his stage work and received a Daytime Emmy for voice acting.
A major stroke in 2012 affected his mobility, but he continued participating in performances, recordings and fan events.
Curry leaves behind a body of work defined by theatrical confidence, sharp comedy and an extraordinary ability to make unusual characters unforgettable.
