The long-awaited movie produced with Kendrick Lamar and the creators of South Park has been delayed again.
Date: September 11, 2026
Trey Parker and Matt Stone apologized to Kendrick Lamar’s pgLang company and Paramount while addressing the project’s uncertain status.
The movie was originally scheduled for July 4, 2025 before being moved to March 2026. It was later removed from Paramount’s release calendar without a replacement date.
Parker and Stone said their South Park responsibilities and other life circumstances prevented them from finishing the project on schedule.
The film, reportedly titled Whitney Springs, has been described as a live-action comedy musical examining race and historical reenactment. Kendrick is serving as a producer, and the movie is expected to feature previously unreleased music.
Despite the repeated delays, Parker and Stone said they remain committed to completing it.
