A Dallas County jury has convicted Kewon White of capital murder in the 2020 killing of rapper MO3.
Date: September 7, 2026
MO3, whose legal name was Melvin Noble, was chased and fatally shot on Interstate 35E in Dallas on November 11, 2020.
Following a trial lasting more than a week, jurors returned a guilty verdict against White on September 4. State District Judge Chika Anyiam sentenced the 27-year-old to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Prosecutors presented surveillance video, cellphone evidence and witness testimony while arguing that White carried out the ambush as part of a murder-for-hire arrangement.
Prosecutors allege that Dallas rapper Yella Beezy, whose legal name is Markies Conway, offered White $40,000 to kill MO3 following a long-running feud. Conway has pleaded not guilty, and the allegations against him have not been proven at trial.
A third defendant, Devin Brown, also faces a capital-murder charge. White is the first person convicted in connection with MO3’s death.
Yella Beezy’s separate trial is currently scheduled to begin September 14.
