COURTS — LIL DURK’S FATE NOW RESTS WITH THE JURY

Lil Durk’s federal murder-for-hire case has entered its final stage following the completion of closing arguments in Los Angeles.

Date: September 10, 2026

Prosecutors told jurors that Durk, whose legal name is Durk Banks, used his money, influence and position within OTF to arrange an attack targeting rapper Quando Rondo.

The August 2022 shooting killed Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson.

Defense attorney Brian Steel attacked the reliability of cooperating witnesses Kevon “OTF Vonnie” Grant, Kacey “OTF Jam” Hester and Keith “Flacka” Jones. The defense argued that witnesses receiving potential legal benefits had incentives to shift responsibility toward Durk.

Another defense attorney, Drew Findling, identified Grant as the alleged organizer of the attack and accused investigators of accepting an unreliable account.

Durk and his codefendants have pleaded not guilty. The allegations against them have not been established by a verdict, and jury deliberations remained underway when this article was prepared.
