Macklemore has responded to a campaign calling for his removal from Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour.

While opening for Sheeran at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Macklemore delivered remarks supporting Palestinian freedom and performed his protest song “Hind’s Hall.”
His statements produced sharply divided reactions. The Israeli-American Council launched a petition asking Sheeran and his team to remove Macklemore from the remaining tour dates.
Macklemore defended his position through social media. He said supporting Palestinian freedom was not intended as criticism of Jewish people and argued that equal treatment for all human beings should not be controversial.
Supporters defended his use of the concert platform to address human rights, while critics argued that the performance introduced a divisive political message into the event.
Ed Sheeran has not publicly announced that Macklemore has been removed from the tour.
