DaBaby’s new Charlotte restaurant is attracting attention online over a $45 specialty waffle.

No Knife Chicken & Waffles officially opened in DaBaby’s hometown on September 6. The restaurant grew from his social-media cooking series of the same name.
The menu’s $45 Soul Food Cornbread Waffle quickly sparked debate as users compared its price with traditional chicken-and-waffle restaurants.
DaBaby defended the meal by explaining that the waffle is made from homemade cornbread rather than a basic flour mixture.
The dish is topped with collard greens and turkey meat, macaroni and cheese and sweet-potato soufflé with pecans. According to DaBaby, the order also includes four pieces of fried chicken.
His response only added fuel to the online debate, with some viewers praising the full Southern meal and others saying $45 remains too expensive.
