Date: September 13, 2026
Garcia controlled the contest before securing the stoppage at 1:25 of the second round at T-Mobile Arena. The victory improved his professional record to 26-2 with 21 knockouts.
It was Garcia’s first defense of the WBC welterweight championship following his February victory over Mario Barrios.
After the fight, Garcia mentioned Teófimo López and Devin Haney as potential future opponents. López was reportedly watching from ringside.
Benn was taken to a hospital for observation following the loss and later said he had no excuses for the result.
